All That She Surveys is a commissioned painting for Desmond & Dempsey, created as part of their new initiative to work with emerging artists. Given a deliberately minimal brief  "On the seventh day there was rest" and "An odalisque for today"  the work was made entirely in my own style, with no further creative direction.

The painting is a modern reinterpretation of the historical lounging woman, a subject as loaded as it is enduring. Acrylic on canvas, it depicts a languid figure in marshmallow colours, scattered with suns and moons.
